Dr. Wade Baskin, PT, DPT, Cert. SMT, Cert. DN, Dip. in Osteopractic (Doctor of Physical Therapy)
Dr. Baskin or "Wade" as he prefers, is the first Doctor of Physical Therapy in Louisville and now the only specialist. He is an Osteopractor - also known as an Osteopractic Physical Therapy Specialist. Osteopractors are physical therapists or physicians trained at the highest levels in spine and extremity problems.
Dr. Baskin has been practicing Physical Therapy since graduation, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 1991. Prior to that he was licensed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, and he has been involved in direct patient care since 1986. Having been awarded the Mississippi Physical Therapy Association's Distinguished Service Award in 1991, he has since been involved in Association Leadership both at the state and national levels. He is also a recipient of the American Physical Therapy Association's Award of Excellence. Moreover, he is a former World Champion and gold medalist in martial arts and understands what it takes to excel at the highest levels in both practice and sport.
At this time Dr. Baskin is involved with patient care, practice leadership, development, and expansion of new programs. He served as an elected officer in the American Physical Therapy Association's (APTA) Private Practice Section from 1999-2009, and he currently serves as an APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor for the University of Mississippi Medical Center's Doctor of Physical Therapy Program and multiple Physical Therapy Assistant Programs throughout the state. He has been in private practice since 1993 when he established GT Physical Therapy (then known as Golden Triangle Rehabilitation).
Having been published in both text books and professional periodicals, Dr. Baskin continues to be actively involved in traveling, learning, and developing new and innovative strategies to improve patient outcomes in the out-patient setting. Utilizing cutting edge technology, hands-on techniques and the latest evidence, GT Physical Therapy has achieved an excellent reputation as a results-based practice where physicians and patients know that they are accessing the best physical therapy available.
When not in the clinic, you can find Dr. Baskin spending time with his children playing tennis, working out, or watching Netflix. Lisa Simpson-Luke, Administrator
Lisa has been with GT Physical Therapy since 1994, and she currently serves to ensure that all patients are well taken care of in the area of insurance. Moreover, having been a patient before, she will be first to attest that we are providing the best PT services available. Lisa has been instrumental in developing GT Physical Therapy's systems that provide a convenient and comfortable method of patient processing. She works hard to make the paperwork convenient and comfortable for all patients so that they can focus on getting the most from their therapy. Lisa works to keep you informed about your insurance up front so there are no surprises. Lisa has been in the medical field since 1983, and she has been a Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician, Director of Respiratory Services, and Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation. She is currently a member of the American Physical Therapy Association's Private Practice Section, and she has participated in numerous committees and projects. Lisa is the first Non PT to serve on the prestigious Private Practice Section's Program Committee.
Lisa is currently involved in practice development projects involving opening practices across the US that cater to orthopaedic and chronic pain populations using GTPT's unique Physical Therapy approach.
Sagar Desai, LPTA, CKTP, BS
Formerly known as the famed mascot "Bully," Mr. Sagar Desai completed his BS Degree from Mississippi State University in 2010, then completed his Physical Therapy Assistant training at Ittawamba CC. As the former mascot for MSU, he remains active with the cheer squad.
Sagar, originally from Canton, MS, now resides in Starkville and works directly with Dr. Wade Baskin to provide special protocols to help patients get better faster.
Sagar enjoys working with people, getting to know them, and helping them get rid of their problem. He enjoys his position as the clinic manager, as he has been working in some form of management since he was 15 years old.
He is directly responsible for making sure each patient gets the best treatment as prescribed by the Physical Therapist, and he ensures that the response to treatment is as expected. He enjoys using the procedures that generate immediate benefit and pain release while watching for the surprised look on patients' faces!
Anna Katharine Baskin, BS, Marketing Director
Anna serves as the Marketing Director for GT Physical Therapy. A recent graduate of the University of Mississippi, Anna received her bachelor’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communications under the Meek School of Journalism and New Media in May 2016.
As Marketing Director, Anna is in charge of advertising, social media and networking, website management, and public relations. Anna works to promote the face of GTPT, and its brand of rapid relief and return to action.
After serving as an event coordinator and campaign manager during her time at the University of Mississippi, Anna uses her experience to bring awareness to GTPT’s unique approach to physical therapy. As the daughter of Dr. Wade Baskin, Anna has seen GT Physical Therapy evolve from the time the clinic first opened its doors in West Point, MS.
Anna plans to work with the GTPT team on strengthening the clinic’s already solid foundation in promoting the specializations that are only offered at GT. She also works to stay in touch with current and past patients, as well as implement new marketing ideas and unique ways to connect to Louisville’s community.
Christy Brown Sanders, Patient Coordinator
Christy is GT Physical Therapy's Patient Coordinator. As the Patient Coordinator, Christy is responsibly for patients' appointments, schedules, and an integral part of each patient's experience at GT.
Originally from Columbus, Christy and her husband both live in Louisville. She loves forming new relationships with patients, and strives to make each patient smile when they walk through the door.

Shalon Woods, Lead Physical Therapy Technician
Shalon is the Lead Physical Therapy Technician at GT Physical Therapy. As the Lead Tech, she is in charge of Physical Therapy Technicians and interns at GTPT.
Shalon works with patients on physical therapy exercises, manages the flow of the gym area, and connects with every patient to help them feel welcome and excited to partake in physical therapy.
Shalon has worked at GT Physical Therapy for years, and helps in fostering the family-centered atmosphere that both patients and staff have come to love. Shalon works alongside Wade, Sagar, and Dakota to help patients complete their physical therapy in a pain-free and fun manner.
Shalon lives in Louisville, MS, and contributes to the Louisville community in several ways. Whether through helping her children in school or helping a patient walk without feeling any more pain, Shalon always brings a positive presence to GTPT.
Dakota Vowell, Physical Therapy Technician
Dakota is a Physical Therapy Technician at GT Physical Therapy. As a PT Tech, she assists Physical Therapists and Physical Therapy Assistants in providing healthcare and rehabilitation services to those who are injured or in need.
A graduate of East Central Community College (2011-2013) and Mississippi State University (2013-2015), Dakota graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Mississippi State in December 2015. She now plans on becoming a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) and pursue a career in physical therapy.
Dakota is from Philadelphia, MS, and heard about GT Physical Therapy through a friend while looking for a physical therapy internship during her time at Mississippi State. While at GTPT, Dakota enjoyed working with GT's staff, as well as "the family environment, the [job] flexibility, and working under Wade and Sagar." After completing her internship in November 2015, Dakota decided to stay at GTPT as a Physical Therapy Technician.
Dakota thinks that the atmosphere at GTPT is what sets it apart from other clinics. She loves that each patient enjoys their time at GT, and that makes her job fun and enjoyable.
"Since working and being involved with GTPT, my favorite thing about Physical Therapy is definitely the patients. Just seeing them get excited when they have positive results is so rewarding."
